About SQL Server Standard

The staffs of SQLServerCentral.com and PASS are both thrilled to bring you this new technical journal devoted to the SQL Server community. This is a publication that is written by those of us in the real world for those of us in the real world. We seek to bring a less formal, more fun, and more informative set of articles to you every couple months. All the writers of these articles are professionals in the field and deal with the topics they’re writing about on a daily basis. Many of us have had many pains supporting areas of SQL Server that we will share with you.

One of the things you may notice from flipping through the magazine, is the number of advertisements. When SQLServerCentral.com and PASS decided to start this magazine, we made it our mission to keep the number of ads less than 25% of the magazine. This helps us keep the magazine slightly smaller than those you may see on the market, but with more actual content and less filler.

In each issue, we hope to span the gamut of topics that appeal to developers, DBAs and data warehousing professionals. You’ll also find articles in each magazine to help you develop into a more professional SQL Server user, whether its topics on certification, interviewing or change management.
